Waddup.
Why a website? Why not social media?
Your attention is directly linked to the profit that giant social media corporations make. It is in their best interest to keep you on their apps as long as possible, by getting you hooked on the never-ending scroll of slop, molding you into a “user” of their product. Meanwhile, content made by your friends and family is only a fraction of what you consume, and rarely does it manifest into a stronger human connection.
Perhaps making a personal website is my small way of fighting back. Or maybe it’s an outlet for me to create instead of consume while trying to grow a real bond with my peers. Or maybe, I’m just performative.
Be intentional with your attention. Be intentional with your time.
Sincerely, the Nomad with the Gonads.
